The 30-day test will be conducted in accordance of the rules and regulations of the FN (German Equestrian Federation) and BMELV (German Federal Ministry).  Open enrollment is offered to stallions from 3 to 6 years of age, who are going under saddle, and who are of any sporthorse breed, Arabians, and Thoroughbreds.

The training will include basic flat work under saddle to test rideability and trainability in addition to presentation in the jump chute to test scope and technique.  Based upon evaluation and results during the training phase (first 28 days), the Training Director will give scores for interior (character, temperament, willingness to work, and capacity to work), walk, trot, canter, rideability, and free jumping ability (technique and capacity).  During the final two days, the stallions will be scored by two guest riders (for rideability and interior) and two test judges (for gaits, rideability, and free jumping).

The Training Director is Harald Hoffmann, a German “Pferdewirtschaftsmeister” (master in horse management).  Herr Hoffmann is also a publicly appointed and sworn expert by the North Rhine-Westphalian Chamber of Agriculture for competition horses as well as for breeding and management of horses.  He is also a Grand Prix rider and a judge for competition and breeding.  As a master in horse management and long time competition stable manager and Gestüt manager, Herr Hoffmann knows about training young horses, training advanced competition horses, stallion and mare management, and foal raising.  He knows what to look as both a breeder and rider – proof is in the careers of the top sporthorses - Figaro’s Boy (L. Beerbaum) and Grandilot (O. Becker), sire - Biotop (Dr. R. Klimke), and champion stallion - Albführen’s Laudatio (F. Cantamessa).
